The world's highest-altitude helicopter pilgrimage. Fly from Kathmandu to Muktinath Temple (3,710 m) in the rain-shadow region of Lower Mustang — a sacred site revered by both Hindus (as a Vishnu temple) and Buddhists (as a place of Guru Rinpoche). The flight traverses the Annapurna range, enters the Kali Gandaki Gorge (world's deepest), and lands at Ranipauwa, a 15-minute walk from the temple. Perform ritual bathing at the 108 stone water spouts (each named for a sacred spring), witness the eternal flame (natural gas fire burning above a spring — one of Earth's few "fire-water" juxtapositions), and absorb views of Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and Nilgiri (7,061 m). Ground time: 1.5–2 hours. Return via Jomsom airstrip flyover.
